On Tuesday, October 7th, WorkdPlays visited Danish Crown’s factory in Blans, where The Slaughterhouse Game was being implemented among employees from all departments.

The positive reception of the game was largely driven by the factory’s dedicated employees, who on this occasion acted as ambassadors for the game and interpreted for their colleagues in different languages.

The Slaughterhouse Game is an engaging and motivating language-learning game developed specifically for employees in the meat processing industry. It is based on everyday work processes and tasks at the slaughterhouse. The goal of the game is not only to improve employees’ language skills, but also to strengthen workplace communication, increase well-being and employee retention, and promote integration between Danish-speaking and non-Danish-speaking colleagues. The language-learning game is particularly aimed at employees with limited Danish skills, but also supports those who find written Danish challenging.

WorkdPlays offers game-based language learning tailored to various industries, built around realistic workplace situations.
